I had a potato patch. Thirty rows \u2014LONG rows\u2014you know how potatoes are planted, they&#8217;re planted in hills . . . one potato, one potato, one potato . . . and you hoe the dirt UP around the base of the plant, and the potato will form underground. Thirty long rows, and to HOE them is a great big job.<br \/>\nHow can you get two little boys to hoe a great big field?<br \/>\nYou have them hoe row by row and the field is STILL as big &#8230;<br \/>\nHave them hoe a diagonal line, from here to here, and hoe a diagonal line here and across and down the middle and kept cutting that field down into little pieces, and making more and more designs, and it&#8217;s FUN to make designs.<br \/>\nThey transferred hard work into play.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now how do you do a hard piece of work?
